This excellent 9th Web2day event is now drawing to a close…
With 5,000 visitors, 2017 has broken previous attendance records, and Web2day is each year becoming a little more established as a simply unmissable event in the European digital world.
This year has been more than just special for us due to the fact that we had to work on the event under somewhat unusual circumstances as a result of the fire that destroyed the cafeteria last November.
The whole team sprang into action, determined to maintain the dynamic momentum we had built up and to offer all those involved in our digital ecosystem a Web2day event worthy of the level of support received.
Thanks to our partners, both public and private, and everyone involved in our digital ecosystem, Web2day has become a unique event of its kind. This is something that makes us proud; and together with yourselves, we want to continue on this same trajectory.
On behalf of the organising team, a huge THANK YOU goes out to all – partners, speakers, volunteers and participants – for this highly enjoyable (and let’s admit it, emotional) shared experience.
We are already eagerly looking forward to next year 🙂
Make a date for the 13, 14 and 15 of June 2018!

I love the attitude that they have in Nantes: you really feel that the city has a powerful spirit of its own, and that's certainly the case for hte festival. You can tell just by looking at the venue, which is one of the best festival grounds in Europe, as well as feeling it in the atmosphere, obviously.
In Nantes, the atmosphere is less competitive and more supportive. There is a shared desire to take things to the next level, to achieve something to be proud of.
It's an event that is experiencing a real boom, in every direction, where you can meet with startups, people from different backgrounds, and corporates. There are plenty of ideas that go off in every direction; it changes very quickly, which is inspirational.
There really is a very dynamic and fun atmosphere, and the organisation is wonderful. I am delighted to see cities from elsewhere in France emerging alongside Paris.
